if you have a half decent computer you can play SNES roms just about flawlessly. If there is any difference between an emulator and a SNES, it will be so slight that you wouldnt notice the difference. The actual answer is, both play the same. This is coming from someone who grew up with the game and have played it at least 4-5 times since in emulation form. I prefer ZSNES but only cause I grew up with it. Also emulators have cheat engines so you can put in game giene or action replay codes, or even make your own cheat codes which is fun. Also you can fast forward to facilitate grinding, using state saves and loads, and ZSNES has a rewind key that goes back 5 seconds so if you fuck up you just mash that till you're back to where you want to be. You can also fiddle with the audio to make it sound crisper and better than what your CRT back in the day could put out. The benefit of emulator is crisper graphics, and a choice of filters to smooth stuff out if you wish. Obviously, I think it's worth it if you do like collecting games, and want to start collecting SNES games (if you have the money (CT is ~$100, FF3 is 30-40, Super Metroid is $50ish etc)). Unless you are a collecter type, I don't think it's worth it shelling out ~$200 for the game alone plus whatever a working SNES costs (seems to vary, $30-$60) unless you're ok with the 30$ knockoffs.
